I grew up around golf in the sandhills area of North Carolina. I played golf recreationally and competitively throughout middle and high school, and my summer jobs in high school and college were in cart barns and maintenance shops at golf courses in the area. I attended North Carolina State University where I studied math, statistics, and analytics. When I saw that the USGA was hiring a data scientist who would work out of their new Pinehurst facility, I jumped at the opportunity to turn my passion into a profession. I’m excited to talk with you about some of the tools and technologies we are developing at the USGA, and how those can become a useful part of your operation.
